Have you ever had a chance to try pilates?
On the opinion of our fitness co-coordinator, the three components are necessary to a well-balanced exercise routine, and they are: flexibility, strength and aerobic exercise. At DiscoveryLand Camp we do stretching, challenge and shape our muscles during regular morning stretches as well at pilates and yoga classes training. We do a lot of hiking, running, jumping during our regular 2 times a day active time, when you can play your favorite sport – basketball, soccer, volleyball, table tennis, badminton. Or you can choose to jump on the trampoline to challenge your vestibular or play with a skipping rope – we have more than 20 sport classes to be involved in. And also there is a perfect chance to burn lots of calories at Camp Disco Parties!
Rewarding exercises
You’ve probably heard hundreds times how exercise is good for your health. But did you know that it can actually help you feel good and even improve your mood? How do you benefit from physical activity?
Look better. Exercising really can help you to look better. In fact, it is one of the most important factor of keeping your body at a right healthy weight. You probably saw yourself that people who exercise look more fit and toned than those who don’t.
Be healthier. Exercise helps people to burn more calories, lose weight and lower the risk of some diseases. Did you know that high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes are diseases, which used to be found mostly in adults, are becoming more common in teens, and exercises decrease a risk of their developing?
Be happier with better mood and better sleep. Exercise benefits every part of the body, including the mind. Exercising causes the body to produce endorphins, chemicals that can help a person to feel more peaceful and happy. Exercise can help some people sleep better. It can also help some people who have mild depression and low self-esteem. Plus, exercise can give people a real sense of accomplishment and pride at having achieved a certain goal.
Tips:
1. The exercises should be done regularly.
2. Doing exercise outside with fresh air multiplies its benefits many times. Try to at least take a short walk every day.
If you never tried pilates or yoga, there is a perfect chance to do it at DiscoveryLand Camp. If you find this experience so rewarding and inspiring, you can continue your exercising after the camp at a studio.
